Ben Farr, Managing Director
Before coming to Critical, Ben studied Politics and Economics at Leeds University and then worked for 9 years at Gfk NOP. He chose market research as a career because he was interested in people and how they interact with brands, services and products. He works on every kind of full service project and has clients across a number of different sectors, from AXA, Zurich Municipal, Grant Thornton & PwC in the financial and business sectors to the British Red Cross in the charity sector. He has also spoken at a number of industry events such as MRS and Media Research Group conferences. When not in the office (though Ben will tell you that he is always in the office) he is usually out playing golf, football, cricket, or snooker but despite all that physical activity he admits to still only being able to manage 5 press-ups. Ben’s likes include a decent cup of coffee, ‘The Thick of It’ and his best travel experience was driving around Vietnam on a moped.
Pat Fraser, Director
Before working at Critical, Pat studied international finance at Cass Business School and then went into political research at Gfk NOP and was Head of Central Research at Ipsos MORI. At Critical his projects tend to be largely full service and his clients include AXA, Grant Thornton, PwC, BDO and GE. He also works as part-time Finance Director for the company. At the end of the day Patrick takes his calculator home with him and his spare time is spent working out if he can afford his wife’s latest grand holiday plans. To relax, Patrick watches any sport that’s on the box and plays a bit of golf or five-a-side as well as collecting Panini football stickers with his kids. His favourite meal is peanut butter and pickled onions on toast and he dislikes most other foods. His best holiday was travelling down through Vietnam and around South West India and when no one is listening he likes to sing Beastie Boys tunes. He has a shark bite on his arm. Allegedly.
Beverly Rogers, Field Manager
Beverly is responsible for managing the CATI telephone centre, overseeing recruitment, training and fieldwork. Beverly joined us from Kantar and prior to that worked at Ugam and GfKNOP where she held the position of Director Telephone Services. Her experience spans healthcare, B2B and consumer research.
Alexis Pamboris, Research Director
Alexis joined RSM Market Research in 2000 and is responsible for ensuring high quality output to clients in terms of quotations, project management and deliverables, as well as providing research design and insight to full service research clients. He also oversees the smooth running of our CATI operations and web-based surveys. He was previously part of the business research divisions at ORC International and SIA.
